Leslie started dancing at the age of ten and immediately fell in love with the art form. She studied classical ballet and then began to study ballroom dance, modern, and contemporary dance while in college. While in college at East TN State University, she danced in their newly formed dance department and Johnson City local’s modern dance company, Mountain Movers Dance Company. Throughout college she studied at many dance festivals such as the American College Dance Festival (2011), Bates Dance Festival (2011), Thodos Dance Chicago (2010), Doug Varone and Dancers (2009), and Tennessee Association of Dance Festivals. Leslie’s movement and technique is a blend of her various trainings and styles from Limon, Release, Horton Modern Techniques, Russian and Balanchine Ballet Technique, Fosse and Giordano Jazz styling, and much more. Leslie also was the recipient of a variety of scholarships from Tennessee Assocation of Dance, ETSU, and Bates Dance Festival. After college Leslie began to teach dance focusing on beginning modern and pre-ballet. When not teaching, Leslie performs with local companies and choreographs for the studios she works at. Leslie is available for workshops (Dance Conditioning, Yoga, Improvisation, Contemporary, Modern, Contemporary Ballet), choreography, and performance (Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, Cabaret/Showgirl).
